SPLIT ORCHIDS - EASY WAY

Easy step to get it.

Multiple stems or pseudo bulbs be produced during the growth of orchids, such as site preparation for flowering. When this happens, the division became too tick with new growth and stems into a large and retard the growth of orchids to grow well.

However, this is a good opportunity to increase the number of orchids and can produce new plants from a single specimen by means of splitting, or divide, to separate plants. you can produce two or more new orchid from it own specimen. This proses is easily done.

After the flowers bloom period is over, loosen the roots and carefully separate the parts in the trunk to find a natural groove between stem.Separate  by hand - or cut through the rhizome between the flower with a knife if necessary.

Snip off the roots, comb out the roots, loosen, to provide space between the root to the new medium growing. This will provide sufficient space for new orchid growing. Cleaning the old medium. Trim the roots to an appropriate size.

Putting the new orchid in the pot. Spread the roots, slowly to give enough air space. Press down gently to strengthen the position and then carefully watering it .Always remember that make  it moist, not so wet.
